About Mallory Nuckols
Mallory Nuckols is a Richmond, Virginia native that moved to the Appalachian mountains in 2009 to complete her B.A. at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC with a concentration in Painting and Drawing.
Mallory's desire to capture the essence and beauty of a woman's form has driven her to specialize in figurative paintings. She works predominantly in oils and uses live photoshoots of women as inspiration for her paintings. Her work deals with her own identity as a female being and ongoing exploration of body image in today's society. Mallory focuses on depicting the female form in an empowering, positive way, accentuating the beauty found in the body's shapes, curves, and shadows.
Weaverville, NC is where Mallory currently calls home, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
